1. Register online so that we can
send you a copy of the programme to help you plan your
day.
2. When you arrive come to the
registration desk – here we can give you a welcome pack
that includes refreshment vouchers and a room sheet to help you
find your way round.
3. Visit the Careers stand
where you can find out about graduate jobs and how you can access a
fantastic range of opportunities to develop your strengths and
learn new skills.
4. Take a tour of the campus,
led by current students. This will give you a real feel for York St
John and the opportunity to speak to current students.
5. Get your questions
answered. Use your time at York St John to get all the
information you need. Ask a member of staff or Student Ambassador,
or visit the Help Desk in Foss Sports Hall. If on the journey home
you think of more questions, don’t worry, you can e-mail us
at admissions@yorksj.ac.uk
6. Go see our accommodation.
Take a bus or walking tour to our self-catered accommodation sites.
They should last 50 minutes. It will take up a large proportion of
your day if you wish to visit more than one site. Research your
options here.
7. Eat and relax in our dining
room.
8. Speak to staff on the Students’
Union stand to get information on all the support, clubs,
societies and events on offer for our students
9. Enjoy the City – take an
open top bus (weather permitting) round the City of York (tickets
available in Foss Sports Hall) and spend some time getting to know
the city that you may be living in for the next few years.
10. Can’t fit it all in? If
you decide to apply to York St John and are made an offer by us
which does not require you to attend for interview, we will invite
you to a post offer Visit Day. At our Visit Days you will have a
second chance to find out more about York St John, the course and
the city.
