1.71. The Admissions database (SITS) is
updated with the latest application information by a direct
download from
UCAS
on a daily
basis, through an overnight process.
1.72. Paper application forms, on which
decisions are made, are received by the institution around 5 days
after the receipt of their electronic records. Decisions are only
made once a paper application has been received from
UCAS
.
1.81.
UCAS
provides
additional contextual data on
UCAS
forms, eg
whether an applicant has ever spent time in care. The University
does not use this information to inform its admissions decisions.
The University reserves the right to use this additional data for
selection purposes in future admissions cycles, should this happen
this statement will be revised to reflect this.
