Degrees by research
The University has a vibrant and developing research community,
with research students working in, and across, a variety of
disciplines.
The University is committed to providing excellence in academic

- A dedicated Graduate Centre providing research students
with space for studying and socialising
- Access to research networks
- Possibilities for supervised involvement in teaching

- Access to appropriate facilities to support research
All research qualifications awarded are degrees of the University
of Leeds and are therefore subject to the relevant Ordinances and
Regulations of the University of Leeds. Reference can
also be made to the
Postgraduate Research Student Protocol which sets out the
arrangements under which York St John is able to offer these
degrees.
We welcome applications from students with a second class
honours degree or a Masters degree who wish to pursue postgraduate
research leading to degrees of Masters by Research (MA or MSc),
MPhil or PhD.
