Accommodation
We offer accommodation in University-owned and
managed residences on both a catered and self-catered basis.
All offer a home from home, all are within 5-15 minutes walking
distance and all sites are covered by CCTV. We offer a
variety of accommodation types, from cluster flats with en-suite
facilities and self-contained studio flats at our new Percy’s Lane
site, to single study bedrooms at City Residence, The Grange and
The Limes. Our Accommodation Team can also help you to find
somewhere to live if you would prefer to live in privately owned
accommodation.

Childcare
Childcare places can be booked at Kaleidoscope, a
private on-site nursery. To enquire about places, please contact

Students’ Union
The Students’ Union represents and promotes the
interests of all students at York St John in a number of ways
including academic affairs and welfare. Seeking to work in
partnership as much as possible, the Union has representation on
all YSJ committees, including the Governing Body. We provide
information and support on a diverse range of welfare, health and
education issues.
The Students’ Union coordinates the activities of
over 30 clubs and societies, which are open to all students to
become involved in. Within the SU building, we provide high quality
commercial services including a shop, coffee bar and bar.
