Films and TV for listening practice

What should you watch?

  • Choose programmes that you enjoy.

How should you watch?

  • Don't worry about understanding every word.
  • Watch films you already know from your own language ...
  • ... or watch a film made from a book you have read.
  • ... or watch the film first in your language;  then watch it again tomorrow in English.
  • Relax and enjoy it!
  • Use the subtitles from time to time (it's very tiring to use them all the time - and often the words you see aren't the same as the words you hear, which is even more tiring!).

How can you find free films and TV?
