Advice and support

York St John International is here to welcome all incoming international students and to provide help and support throughout your time with us. Whether you are here for a few weeks on an English language course, a whole semester on exchange, or for years on a degree programme, our team is always here for you.

For New Students

From the day that you first consider studying with us at YSJ, we are here to support and advise you. Our busy Welcome Week programmes at the start of each semester will help you with everything when you arrive - from arranging your accommodation, opening a bank account, and registering with the health centre, to finding your way around the campus and city, and making friends. All of this will help you settle into life in the UK.

Pre-Arrival information

Student Homepage - Welcome Week information and timetables will appear here approximately 4 weeks before the new semester begins. Welcome Week timetables will also be provided in your arrival packs.

For Current Students

We are here to continue to help and support you throughout your studies at York St John. Come and see us at International Reception in the Holgate Building (first floor) for help with any welfare issues, visa and immigration advice, or to sign up for one of our many social events and trips!
